Embodying Veiled Utterances | Pou Ensomatónei Kalymménes Ekfráseis
“The final outcome is merely an echo of the process. Hung on a wall, away from the warmth of a lap, the embroidered works take on a different role, reflecting the echoes of what was said and unsaid. The process itself remains unrefined, containing raw and delicate moments of conversation within the stitches. So I look at the works on the wall one last time, my eyes shifting focus from the portrait to the embroidery and back again, those embodiments of veiled utterances – objects which incorporate covered expressions – reverberating their masked sentiments.” - ‘Embodying Veiled Utterances - Intimate Encounters // Translating Conversation Through Intuitive Process’ 2020 | Honour Thesis

shifting perspective and focus // admiring layers and space
This project was completed during Melbourne’s COVID19 lockdown - as a result I was able to explore different ways of presenting and documenting the project digitally. These videos came about by trying to think about how to capture the physical dimensions and installation aspect of the works.
